Bryan Bartow, Director, Wisconsin Resource CenterByran Bartow, director of the Wisconsin Resource Center in Oshkosh, will be the keynote speaker at ESTHER’s ninth Annual Banquet at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 at Liberty Hall, 800 Eisenhower Drive, Kimberly.

Once addicted to narcotics and having served time in Wisconsin prisons, he is now Director of the Wisconsin Resource Center and an ordained Buddhist priest. Bartow believes our criminal justice system needs a paradigm shift, moving from its current focus on retribution, punishment and incapacitation to habilitation, recovery, and restoration.

In addition to the keynote address, the event will feature musical entertainment, presentation of awards for 2013, and a silent auction. Current and new members are welcome, as well as other friends, supporters and guests. Last year, the event attracted about 200 supporters.

Silent auction donations are being accepted. If you would like to offer an item for the auction, please contact Sheryl DeHart here.

This is a fund-raiser for ESTHER, but it is also an opportunity to meet other members and make new friends. The cost is $40 per person, $70 for a couple, or $350 for a table of 10. Click here to register online before noon on Saturday, November 2.
