Getting to School Shouldn’t be a Challenge

Getting to School Shouldn’t be a Challenge. Please support increased funding for public transportation for children and teens in Oshkosh.

Support Student Access to Public Transportation

What does it cost to get to school?

  • Most kids who live in the City of Oshkosh don’t qualify for free district busing to school.
  • A monthly bus pass costs $35. A daily ride to and from school would cost $3.00.
  • 42% of Oshkosh kids live in poverty, making it a struggle to afford the cost of busing.

We CAN Support our school children.

  • Free access to public transportation can lower student anxiety, increase school attendance, and allow teens better access to after-school jobs and activities.
  • Appleton, Green Bay, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan all provide free public transportation for school students. It’s time for Oshkosh to do the same.

Tell your Oshkosh Common Council and Oshkosh School Board members to support student access to public transportation.
