Winona LaDukeESTHER’s 16th Annual Banquet will be held on Sunday, November 3, starting at 5:00 pm, at Liberty Hall in Kimberly. The event is currently sold out, and we are building a waiting list. Please contact us at or 920-843-8083 to discuss options.

Our keynote speaker this year will be Winona LaDuke, a rural development economist working on issues of economic, food, and energy sovereignty. She lives and works on the White Earth reservation in northern Minnesota, and leads several organizations including Honor the Earth, Anishinaabe Agriculture Institute, Akiing, and Winona’s Hemp. She is an international thought leader in the areas of climate justice, renewable energy, and environmental justice, and has stood in opposition to the Dakota Access Pipeline and to mining projects on indigenous lands.

The banquet will be preceded by a social hour and silent auction. The program will feature musical entertainment and presentation of ESTHER’s 2019 individual and community awards.
