Learn Menominee Sustainable Ways that can be applied across ecosystems and cultures. Visit Sustainable Development Institute, Logging Museum, and Heritage Museum on the Menominee Reservation in Keshena, WI.

Cost:        Logging Museum:  $7 per person - payable at door
Heritage Museum: $3 per person - payable at door

Lunch will be available for individual purchase at Farmers Market

Schedule:

9:45 Arrive at College of Menominee Nation parking lot. SDI building located by parking lot.
10:00-10:50 SDI Staff presentation: Efforts in sustaining and restoring ecosystems as climate changes. 40-min presentation + 10 min Q&A
11:00-11:40 Interpreter-led walk through old-growth forest talking about sustainable forest management.
  (Menominee Forest received U.N. Award in 1995; Presidential Sustainability Award 1996; recognized by Yale University School of Forestry and worldwide for excellence in forestry management.)
11:50-12:30 Interpreter-led walk ttrough sustainably managed gardens.
12:40-1:30 Menominee Farmers Market on campus today! - Buy lunch from vendor(s)…and browse.
1:45-2:30 Logging Museum - “Learn from the Past…Plan for the Future” W3426 County VV West, Keshena (Interpreter: Jean Cox)
2:45-3:30 Historical Preservation Museum, Hwy 47, Neopit. Self-guided ttrough interpretive displays
3:30 Depart
