BUDGET IS A MORAL DOCUMENT - Public Hearings Coming

Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WIThe Joint Committee on Finance of our State Legislature will hold four public hearings throughout Wisconsin on the 2014-15 budget. It is important for the public’s voice to be heard at these hearings because the budget determines how our state’s financial resources (the peoples resources!) are used.

Let your voice be heard:

  • Attend the hearing on Monday, April 8, at Lambeau Field
  • Prepare a statement to bring to the hearing or for ESTHER representatives to deliver

Attend the hearing:

The closest hearing to the Fox Valley will occur in Green Bay at Lambeau Field on Monday, April 8, from 10 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Members of ESTHER will attend this hearing to advocate for increased funding for treatment alternatives and public transit, and sustained funding for BadgerCare/Medicaid. If you would like to attend as part of that group to show support, car pools will depart the Target East parking lot (1800 S Kensington Dr, Appleton, WI) at 9 a.m. Send email to penny.robinson@esther-foxvalley.org or call 920-364-0079 to indicate that you'll be participating in the car pool.

Prepare a statement:

In addition to attending the hearing, the public can submit written testimony. All written materials received at the hearings are filed and read. If you're attending a hearing, bring your testimony with you. If not, send your testimony to ESTHER, 140 S. Green Bay Road, Neenah, 54956; we will submit your testimony at the hearing. Note: Prepare a separate statement for each issue you want to address.
