“Building a Better Community: Fairness, Equity & Justice”
Part 2 of our faith, values, and community series
Join ESTHER on July 19 (Appleton) or July 21 (Oshkosh) for a potluck supper followed by a community conversation discussing fairness, justice and equity. We’ll be exploring questions like these:
- What does it mean to treat people fairly?
- How does lack of fairness arise in a community?
- What does a fair community look like? Who benefits from it?
What you can expect: After our potluck, we’ll hear a brief reflection and follow with small-group conversations about these topics. You will walk away with a better understanding of your community and the people who live here, and you’ll be able to explore opportunities for fairness, justice and equity.
Choose either of these dates/ locations:
Tuesday, July 19, 5:30-7:30 pm
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
2330 E. Calumet St., Appleton
Thursday, July 21, 5:30-7:30 pm
Christ Lutheran Church
222 Church Ave., Oshkosh
These events are free and open to the public. We invite each household to bring a dish to share for the potluck.
