State Superintendent Election Information

Wisconsin State Superintendent Election 2021

The non-partisan state superintendent primary election takes place on Tuesday, February 16. If you are not planning to/have not already cast an absentee ballot, the polls will be open for in-person voting next Tuesday.

The Wisconsin Public Education Network maintains an election headquarters page with comprehensive information about the office, the candidates’ views and positions, and how to vote in both the primary and general elections. There are a number of strong candidates.

This office is one of the last lines of defense for Wisconsin’s public schools—and the 860,000 kids who attend them—against hyper-partisan politics and unfair budgets. An equity-minded superintendent with the courage to stand up for our public schools is critical to the success of our children and the health of our democracy.
