WISDOM (the state-wide organizing network of which ESTHER is a part) is offering a free, five-week training series beginning at the end of August in preparation for the organizing and voter turnout work that lies ahead this fall and in 2024.
In these training sessions, you will learn the basics of relational organizing and the principles for building relationships within your community. This course is based on the popular organizing workshops WISDOM offered in 2021 and 2022, which attracted hundreds of participants.
These 90-minute programs will starting on August 29th and continue on Tuesday evenings through September 26. The five sessions will cover important organizing methods and disciplines while also supporting the effort to create and guide an ongoing system of local leadership development. The topics include:
- Week 1: Attitudes and Disciplines
- Week 2: One-on-Ones
- Week 3: Issues and Actions
- Week 4: Effective Meetings
- Week 5: Team Building
